| WA-DPC2001 | The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide a network, security and internet services improvement program for the Parliamentary Electorate Offices (PEOs) across Western Australia (WA). BACKGROUND The existing computer network for the Ministers of Parliament and the PEOs is MPNET which extends to 97 locations across the State (refer Attachment 1). Currently, each office is required to connect back to DPC for authentication, firewall security and access to the Internet in what is a traditional Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity model. Since the transition of each PEO to Microsoft Office 365 and the National Broadband Network (NBN) for carrier telecommunications services (telephony and network), it is no longer warranted maintaining an aggregated WAN service, and change is required to better improve the essential eight security requirements for PEOs. Through this Request, the improvement program will replace the legacy IT network and security equipment with current-day technology, improving office performance with localised and autonomous IT cloud security services, whist reducing operating costs and management overheads. | Department of the Premier and Cabinet | $1,184,510 |
