The scope of the contract includes break-fix repair on communication network hardware, installation and fit out of new locations and cabling and maintenance of the infrastructure to meet HSS standards. The contract is mandatory for all Health Service Providers in the Perth metropolitan area and non-mandatory for regional areas. | WA-PTA220030 | Background The Public Transport Authority (PTA) has a current backup and recovery environment that is approaching end of life. This system provides data protection services to operational and business systems across the organisation. The backup infrastructure is dispersed across several locations to provide a resilient solution to the organisational data protection requirements. In 2021, the PTA embarked on developing an enhanced data protection solution to replace the existing environment. This included the review of the existing environment and the integration of possible solutions into the PTA?s current technology and architecture. A High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) have now been developed that satisfies the requirements of the data protection strategy for the PTA into the future. There is a requirement to procure new hardware to achieve the solution objectives and this tender is to source server and storage hardware. Scope of Requirement The back infrastructure is made up of three key infrastructure components. These are listed as separate items on the asset management plan, but they are considered as a whole, as the solution needs to be fully integrated. The PTA seeks to secure hardware for the following components: Servers ? These are the servers that host the backup application and act as media servers to process the backup data. Storage ? The disk-based storage that stores the backup data for a retention period of 30 days in a near-line capacity to enable rapid backup and restore. Tape Library ? The tape backup library that is utilised for long term retention of data backups. These components need to be considered as a whole, as technology and methodology have changed significantly over the past few years and there are different options available in how backup and recovery systems are architected. These options will be considered as part of the Backup Infrastructure Replacement project. All offers for the three different components nominated above will be considered separately to determine best outcomes for the hardware procurement and if required due to the nature of the procurement, the PTA may award up to two (2) contracts to different Contactors. | Public Transport Authority | $2,267,982 |
| WA-PTA200163 | This tender is to fulfil the requirements of two separate projects for PTA. The first is to expand the storage capacity of the CCTV system to allow for the new cameras that are being added as part of the FAL project and is an addition to an existing asset. The second is for the Control Systems Infrastructure Replacement Project and covers the storage component of that project. This is an asset replacement project. Please note no questions will be responded to after 24th December 2020. | Public Transport Authority | $1,899,915 |
| WA-PTA220095 | Background There is substantial organic growth of the Closed-circuit television (CCTV) environment across the Public Transport Authority (PTA). This organic growth requires a significant expansion of the CCTV storage capacity. There is an opportunity with this project to implement a more cost-effective storage solution that provides the required performance and availability for the CCTV environment and reduces the total cost of ownership for the PTA, as the storage capacity requirements increase. The overall aim of the project is to rationalise and optimise the storage infrastructure across all PTA applications and services providing a more efficient use of available technologies. This approach allows the PTA to minimise future costs and provide a better solution for future expansion. Scope of Requirement The nominated supplier shall provide the PTA with: Pure Storage Flash Array C60 Pure Storage Flash Array C60 expansion Installation service (1 for each site where hardware is to be installed) Maintenance support services (provided by Pure directly) Please refer to PTA220095 Supply of Goods (Book4) RFT Specification for further information regarding the scope of requirements for this Tender. | Public Transport Authority | $1,805,070 |

| WA-PTA210043 | This project will replace the servers and storage that are managed by Operational Technology and used by Transperth Train Operations to manage the Perth Metropolitan Train Network. The existing infrastructure at both the Public Transport Centre (PTC) and Perth Underground requires additional capacity to cater for the upcoming METRONET services (Forrestfield Airport Link, Morley-Ellenbrook, Yanchep, Thornlie-Cockburn, and Byford); much of the equipment has reached end of life and has limited vendor support. The equipment that has vendor support also needs replacing, as it does not conform to the current Public Transport Authority (PTA) server architecture standards. The servers and storage at both locations will be replaced as part of this project. This implementation of the new hardware will cater for planned network growth and reduce maintenance costs. The project will move all control systems infrastructure onto virtual machines (VMs) as part of increasing the Control Systems capacity. | Public Transport Authority | $1,193,112 |
