| WA-MHC878 | The Mental Health Commission (MHC) requires a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to develop a system-wide Roadmap and implementation plan that provides a clear vision of the community mental health treatment and mental health emergency response services (the Roadmap) that will best meet the needs of people in Western Australia (WA) of all ages who require specialist community mental health care and/or emergency mental health care. The Roadmap will identify and implement models of service (MoS), and care pathways for community mental health treatment services, including emergency response services, which will seek to keep people well in the community and relieve pressure on the hospital system. The Roadmap will deliver on the following three broad objectives: 1) Development of contemporary, evidence informed MoS and care pathways that meet the needs of people in Western Australia, improve outcomes and are implementable in a Western Australian context; 2) Identification of: how current services can be optimised, enhanced, reconfigured or expanded ; as well as identifying where new services may be required; the investment which is required to implement a sustainable whole of system plan for treatment and care to meet projected demand ; and governance, working arrangements and commissioning models that foster collaboration, service integration, coordination, person-centred care and improved outcomes. 3) A costed implementation plan for the Roadmap. | Mental Health Commission | $667,241 |
| WA-PTA210160 | The Australian Government announced the ?20-Year Faster Rail Plan? in March 2019. Subsequently, a new agency, the National Faster Rail Agency (NFRA), was established to implement this plan. The NFRA released a blueprint for a network of improved passenger rail services across Australia, including the Perth to Bunbury link. The Australian Government has committed $79 million to develop faster rail business cases for connections between major capital cities and key regional centres across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and Western Australia. The Australian and the Western Australian Governments have agreed to provide funding to develop a Strategic Business Case to investigate supplementing or replacing the existing Australind passenger train service with faster rail technology in the longer term. The Strategic Business Case will determine the suitability of faster rail technology, amongst other options, along the Perth to Bunbury corridor, identify existing constraints and determine future demand and operational requirements. The Strategic Business Case will consider alternatives such as upgrades to the existing rail corridor as well as options for a new, dedicated rail corridor. In addition, the Strategic Business Case will consider a range of other potential solutions to address the identified issues and prioritise them based on demonstrated need and desired transport outcomes.
