| WA-PTA240515 | North Fremantle Station is currently accessed via staggered, at-grade pedestrian level crossings over the railway lines, spaced approximately 73 meters apart. This configuration has led to significant inefficiencies in connecting the station with the proposed shared paths that link Curtin Avenue and Stirling Highway. The primary objective of the planned relocation is to enhance the connectivity of the Principal Shared Path (PSP) along Congdon Street to the Curtin Avenue. This enhancement is expected to significantly improve access for cyclists and pedestrians traveling between Curtin Avenue and Congdon Street. The scope of services involves the design and relocation of the protected Down Main level pedestrian crossing closer to North Fremantle Station, aligning it with the existing protected Up Main level crossing. Additionally, the unprotected Leighton Siding level pedestrian crossing will be relocated to align with the newly positioned Down Main level crossing and the existing Up Main level crossing. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity and safety for pedestrians and cyclists at North Fremantle Station. | Public Transport Authority | $634,233 |
| WA-PTA240541 | The Low Voltage (LV) supply system serves as the lifeline for various essential functions including signalling, train control, traction power, and communications systems throughout the metropolitan rail network. Recognizing the critical role of stable electricity supply, the Low Voltage Critical Supplies (LVCS) Project has been initiated to address any deficiencies in LV equipment and update asset documentation across multiple sites. The primary objective is to ensure uninterrupted electricity delivery to rail systems. As part of the LVCS Project, redundant or outdated equipment within the existing Standalone Equipment Rooms (SERs) will be removed and replaced with new, upgraded equipment. However, due to limited floor space in the existing SERs, a new Low Voltage Room (LVR) will be constructed adjacent to the SERs. This new LVR will be fully equipped with all necessary building services and infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with Australia Standards and PTA specifications. MHM Engineering were commissioned by the PTA to conduct a comprehensive survey of the condition and compliance of existing low voltage (LV) critical assets at various locations, including the Woodbridge Signalling Equipment Room (SER). The objective was to identify any issues and provide rectification options to ensure optimal performance and compliance. The Consultant, appointed through this procurement process, is tasked with conducting a comprehensive site survey, meticulously reviewing all existing data and documentation. Upon the completion of this assessment and the finalization of agreed rectification options outlined in the AC&RO report, the Consultant will be responsible for producing engineering deliverables for the rectification options. Furthermore, they will offer indispensable support throughout the construction tendering process and oversee the implementation phase to ensure seamless execution of the proposed solutions. | WA-PTA240206 | The PTA has initiated a railcar procurement program, known as the METRONET Railcar Procurement Project, aimed at acquiring the next generation of electric railcars, specifically the C-series Railcars. This project entails the assembly of 246 EMU railcars, organised into 41 sets of 6-car trains, to facilitate the expansion of Perth's rail network. As a component of the project, upgrades and modifications are required at the existing Nowergup train maintenance depot to accommodate the new railcars. Maintenance washes for the bogies of the new C-Series will be essential once they enter passenger service.
