| WA-LG00262022 | Landgate?s website ( www.landgate.wa.gov.au ) was constructed using legacy content dating back to 2009. The current website and CMS solution was implemented in 2015, and makes the update of content difficult, time consuming and expensive. Since its launch, the website's content has grown and diversified and today it houses nearly 4,000 PDFs, 2,000 pages, 2000 images and 400 news items. Landgate has undergone significant changes since the website?s inception with the partial commercialisation of automated land tilting function resulting in the onboarding of Land Services WA (LSWA) as a contractual partner for hosting the Landgate website. The current website does not hold infrastructure to host an e-commerce platform, however it does link to MyLandgate, a suite of applications managed by LSWA to handle e-commerce transactions on behalf of Landgate. Feedback from internal and external customers suggests the Landgate website no longer meets customer needs and expectations. For example, the website has limited functionality on mobile devices and does not meet the web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.0), a legislative requirement for government agencies. The website does not have functionality to support HTML forms ? one of the biggest barriers to accessibility and one of the largest opportunities to improve efficiency for Landgate?s customers and reduce manual handling for Landgate staff.
