Training Content Development: Develop training modules covering: Introduction/Overview of Queensland’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Cultural Heritage ACT’s 2003, Cape York Peninsula Heritage Act 2007 Relevant legislation and Duty of Care compliance requirements tailored for Aboriginal corporation directors, members and Rangers. Case studies and scenarios examples of best and bad practices in cultural heritage management. Ethical considerations in cultural heritage management. Guidance on engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, including consultation protocols and cultural sensitivity. Training Delivery: Deliver Face to Face training sessions to accommodate diverse participant needs. Provide repeat training sessions in the following locations to be arranged by QPWS: X 1 Cairns, X 1 Coen and X 1 Bamaga. Class participants estimated to be approximately 16 persons. Facilitate interactive activities, such as groups discussions, role-playing, scenarios based on practical exercises, to enhance participant engagement. Training providers will need to understand that the target audience has low numeracy and literacy levels and mostly speaks English as a second language. Training Material: Develop training materials, including participant manuals, presentations, handouts, and digital resources. Ensure materials are culturally sensitive and developed in consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representatives. Assessment and Certification: Develop assessment tools to evaluate participant understanding and application of knowledge. Provide certificates of completion to participants who successfully meet the training requirements. Customisation: Tailor training content to address specific target audience (Aboriginal peoples in regional Cape York areas), or project-related topics for Traditional Landowners, Aboriginal rangers and directors of aboriginal land trusts and corporations on CYPAL. Incorporate local cultural heritage contexts and case studies, where applicable. Tailored relevant scenarios-based training.
