The Queensland Rail Multi-User Sunshine Depot (located in Geebung, Brisbane), is a large operational facility comprising offices, workshops and various Queensland Rail activities. A future tender will seek to engage a Building Contractor for the relocation and consolidation of the existing training facility into a dedicated, purpose-built Queensland Rail facility within the depot. The new facility will enhance operational efficiency by centralising staff training and improving accessibility, as personnel will be able to travel to the site via train. Indicative Scope to include: Demolition, removal and disposal works New training facility New storage shed Civil and storm water services Electrical, Communication and Security Fire Services Access works The tender is expected to be released the week of the 11th May 2026, with a site visit anticipated to occur between the 18th- 22nd May 2026.
