QCS Statewide Two-Way Radio System Upgrade

Brief

Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) requires an upgrade to the two-way radio systems currently utilized across the State at multiple Sites. A Consultant is required to design an upgraded two-way radio system that has enhanced functionality, operability and reporting capabilities. The upgrade may utilise products supplied under the Queensland Government GWN Contract (for interoperability) and be of such a design that is replicable across all Sites in the Consultants’ proposal. The project is to be delivered in two stages, Stage 1 – Design only applies to the required deliverables in this tender. The purpose of this Stage 1 - Design is to complete the review and design of a Statewide Two-Way Radio System Upgrade and two-way radio functionality along with operability enhancements for QCS. Stage 1 will also develop a set of two-way radio technical and operational standards. Stage 1: Design Stage 1 of the project will produce a design for the two-way radio systems upgrade of the Statewide infrastructure. Each stage of the design process is to include estimated costs and programs to deliver the system upgrades. At the completion of the Stage 1 - Design, the Consultant is required to deliver: A report that provides a detailed cost breakdown for the proposed two-way radio system upgrades. A report that provides a detailed project program (final to be provided once RF contractor tender is awarded). An 85% draft technical standard. An 85% draft operational standard.
