The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of Performing Arts Classrooms at Mayfield SS, located at Paget St, Carina Qld 4152, as part of the Smart School Subsidy (SSS) program. The new building is an extension to the existing Block H building which is a single storey structure, and will contain a Performing Arts Classroom and 2 office spaces. Included will be the internal refurbishment of the existing Performing Arts Classroom and external works for retaining walls and concrete walkways. The position of the building is to the side of the school with limited vehicular access. All works are to be completed by July 2026. Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements: ? Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works ? Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1,000,000.00 QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project.
