Community-based (non-residential) specialist youth alcohol & other drugs treatment & harm reduction
Queensland Health
Brief
The key objective of this procurement is to establish new and/or enhance existing community-based (non-residential) specialist youth AOD treatment (psychosocial interventions) and harm reduction services for young people aged up to 25 years of age in each of the five identified HHS regions. The primary client cohort is young people aged up to 25 years (and their families), with a focus on young people aged 12 – 18 years, engaged in higher-risk patterns of substance use (e.g. including inhalant use), or experiencing moderate severe problematic AOD use and/or dependence, and who may also experience a range of other co-occurring bio-psychosocial vulnerabilities and needs, including mental health. This procurement seeks service providers to deliver specialist AOD psychosocial interventions and harm reduction services (the services) that are targeted and tailored to help meet the needs of the primary cohort of young people in the local area of service provision.
