The Department of Primary Industries are seeking proposals for the Design, Scope Development and Construction of a fisheries offshore patrol vessel (minimum 18m), including a RHIB boarding vessel. The new vessel will be used to conduct offshore patrols for approximately ten days duration, covering approximately 700 nautical miles per trip. A cruising speed of 20 knots is sought. A hydraulic stern ramp will be required to launch and retrieve a boarding vessel – RHIB. The boarding vessel is required to safely operate up to 20 nautical miles from the mother vessel in offshore waters with up to four persons onboard. Both vessels are to be fitted with modern, commercial-grade marine electronics suitable for offshore and reef navigation, including radar, GPS, depth sounders, satellite communications, infrared camera systems and CCTV systems (main vessels).
