Details of the site inspection will be advised in the email and letters to tenderers The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Resource Centre Refurbishment at Redland Bay SS, located at 125-141 Gordon Rd, Redland Bay QLD 4165. The scope of works includes the full internal refurbishment and conversion of the existing Block E classroom building into a new resource centre and library including but not limited to the general upgrade of existing finishes and fixtures throughout the building, full replacement of walls, floors, ceilings, doors, joinery etc. in addition to minor external and landscaping works. The new layout of the resource centre includes a Library area with a flexible learning space, Computer lab, Office spaces and a Conference Room. In addition, the scope of works also includes a full roof replacement of the Block E building. The position of the building is located on the side of the school with easy site access and good working space. All works are to be completed by March 2026. Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements: Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $1M Minimum Level 2 PQC eligibility Minimum PQC Level 2 Eligibility required. Where a PQC Level is stated, the Principal is not obliged to provide tender documents, consider or accept a tender unless the tenderer is appropriately registered under the Queensland Government's PQC System for that PQC Level (or higher) and categories for which the tender is invited. QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract. Submissions close on 07/11/2025 at 3:00pm via email to [email protected]
