Brief

Expression of Interest Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) require the two-way radio systems at their correctional facilities and other support facilities to be upgraded. The equipment for the upgrade will be supplied under the Queensland Government, Government Wireless Network (GWN) contract. QCS are seeking to engage a professional radio system Design Consultant experienced with the equipment under the GWN Contract. The Design Consultant will design the necessary statewide two-way radio system upgrades to provide installation designs for high levels of radio system coverage. The Radio system design tasks include: i) Site visits to review typical existing correctional facility radio infrastructure and operational requirements. ii) Individual correctional facility site radio coverage design. iii) Correctional Facility ICT sub-trunk design. iv) Statewide coverage design for prisoner transport vehicles communications. v) Statewide radio system ICT trunk interconnection. vi) Development of QCS Statewide Radio System Design Standards and Requirements. vii) Assist in the development of QCS Statewide Radio System Operational Procedures. viii) Participation in design workshops.
