Brief
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking expressions of interest for new applicants to join the BHTSP Construction Panel. This Expression of Interest is only for new applicants wishing to join the BHTSP Construction Panel (existing BHTSP Construction Panel Members are not permitted to apply for this EOI). The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is delivering the Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program (BHTSP). The Bruce Highway is a vital 1,673 kilometre north-south corridor in Queensland, connecting Brisbane to Cairns. In January 2025, the Australian and Queensland governments announced a joint funding commitment of $9 billion towards the BHTSP to enhance safety and uplift deficient sections of the highway to achieve a three-star rating. The BHTSP focuses on sections of the Bruce Highway between Gympie and Cairns with a high safety risk.
