Q26057 - The Classics Opera – Artistic Direction Services

Brief

Council is looking to engage the Artistic Direction services of an individual or organisation with strong experience in the delivery of concert style operatic performances. The Classics, Opera, Broadway, and Symphony comprised a long-running concert series. In recent years, program revisions have led to Opera becoming a standalone event held each February. As a result, it is proposed that the next iteration revert to the original title: Opera in the Park. Duties of this role will include but are not limited to: - Creative programming including formation of operatic repertoire in keeping with the objectives of the event - Submitting an artistic budget which includes the Artistic Director’s fee and the fees of all artists and any other creative staff - Recruiting and working with a selection of artists (vocalists, musicians and MC) and any additional creative staff in consultation with the producers (City of Stonnington) - Recruiting...
