Brief
The Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support (the Department) is seeking proposals to deliver the Gold Standard Early Intervention – Proven Initiatives program. This program is designed to prevent and reduce youth offending and improve life outcomes for youth at-risk of offending. The target cohort for this program is youth aged 8 to 17 years who are: • displaying early signs of criminal and/or anti-social behaviours (e.g. drug and alcohol misuse, anger management issues); and • disengaged from school or at high risk of exclusion; or • at risk of coming into contact with police and/or court systems; or • siblings of youth on youth justice orders. This group is at risk of escalating into the statutory youth justice system without timely and effective intervention.
