Mount Isa Hospital Block C refurbishment program of works- Stage 1 - external air-conditioning works

Brief

North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS) is undertaking this procurement to engage a suitably qualified contractor to deliver Stage 1 external air-conditioning works (the project) forming part of the Block C refurbishment program of works at Mount Isa Hospital. The project has been prioritised in response to the increasing risk of failure of the existing air-conditioning infrastructure servicing Block C, particularly ahead of the 2026 summer period. Failure of the existing systems would present a significant operational risk to hospital services and clinical continuity. The project comprises the construct-only delivery of new chilled water air-conditioning infrastructure and associated external mechanical services works, including construction of new hardstands, plant platforms, hydraulic infrastructure and staged commissioning activities within an operational hospital environment.
