| WA-MHC2021121 | The Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS) provide non-residential alcohol and drug (AOD) treatment and support to individuals, families and significant others. They also deliver population-based prevention activity and provide services as part of the Western Australia (WA) Diversion Program. The CADS represent the most significant investment by the Mental Health Commission (MHC) in alcohol and other drug (AOD) community treatment services. CADS play a critical role in the provision of community-based AOD treatment and prevention services across WA and are the primary model for AOD community treatment across the State. Regional CADS are the State?s primary, and sometimes only response to the growing demand for AOD treatment and support; and prevention services. Current CADS contracts have been in place since 2014 and expire on 30 June 2022. The MHC is seeking to establish new Service Agreements to deliver services that will be responsive to local need and promote the health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities affected by alcohol and drug use. The Services being procured under this Request will be located across the following regions: West Kimberley East Kimberley Pilbara Midwest Goldfields Wheatbelt South West Great Southern To ensure that services are best positioned to meet local needs, the Kimberley region will be split into two separate regions being the East Kimberley and West Kimberley. The division also maximises the opportunity for Aboriginal owned businesses to tender for services either individually or in consortium with other providers. The MHC strongly encourages Respondents to partner with an Aboriginal owned business/es to deliver the services where appropriate. The MHC intends to award one service agreement to one service provider per region. The MHC reserves the right to appoint one service provider to multiple regions.
