Currently these grants are being managed using disparate and separate systems with various business processes, with no consistent approach to grants management policy. In order for Communities to continue to provide a high-quality service and be able to process grant payments it is proposed that the legacy systems are replaced with a new single solution. The solution is an existing MS Dynamics CRM application, built on top of the Online Grants Management System (OGM) accelerator. OGMS is a MS Dynamics 365 accelerator and is underpinned by Microsoft?s SaaS Tools. The Community Funding Management System (CFMS) was purchased by the former agency Department of Local Government and Communities (DLGC) prior to the 2017 merger of its Community Funding team into Communities. This system was developed for the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC), who have completed further development work on the system, most notably migrating it to the cloud. DLSGC continue to use the system. Communities is planning to leverage the development of the product by DLGSC and deploy it in the existing Communities D365 cloud tenant to replace its own disparate systems. The OGMS should be available to all business units within Communities.
