This will allow ambulances to return to the community and respond to calls for assistance; Educate staff to support correct recording of ?all time? measures throughout the patient journey (e.g. ramped, off stretcher times); Educate staff to support consistent case sheet submission and handover process; Support crews as they transition from off stretcher to clear. Ensuring ambulances are returned to the community to respond to emergency calls in a timely manner. Identify issues contributing to ambulance delays at hospitals. Work with hospital staff, ambulance staff and the SJA State Operations Centre to minimise impact on service delivery. The benefit of early identification of incoming ambulances, the sharing of pertinent information with key decision makers allows emergency department staff to gain increased situational awareness of expected ambulance presentations. Similarly, the HLM will assist the SJA State Operations Centre with early identification and evaluate pressure points at each ED. Whilst present on site the HLM can complete a real time evaluation and problem solving process in collaboration with the ED staff to coordinate and prioritise patient transfers out of the hospital.
