In 2020 RIA secured funding from the WA Government to complete a comprehensive upgrade of the island?s drinking water production and supply network. The RIA?s overall goal for the project is ?to improve the resilience of the water supply in order to meet current and future drinking and firefighting water demand on the Island?, thereby providing a comprehensive solution to RIA?s water supply risks for the next twenty years.
