The alternative model offers peer-based support for people who may otherwise have attended an ED, but do not need intensive clinical support. This will be one of the two Safe Haven Cafes' to be established in WA - one metropolitan and one rural/remote to provide alternatives to attending an Emergency Department (ED) for mental health concerns that do not require intensive clinical interventions.
