| WA-DPIRD2022122 | The existing State Barrier Fence (SBF) stretches approximately 1,209 kilometres (km) from the Zuytdorp Cliffs north of Kalbarri to 35km east of Ravensthorpe, bordering the agricultural region of the State. In addition to the existing SBF a new Eastern section is currently under construction and will stretch 660km from Ravensthorpe to the Coast east of Esperance at Cape Arid. The purpose of the fence is to minimise the impact of migrating emus, wild dogs and kangaroos into the Southwest Land Division. The SBF is divided into three (3) sections: Northern Region = 576km which also includes 3.5km of Lake Moore to the eastern edge of the lake; Southern Region = 633km eastern edge of Lake Moore to Ravensthorpe; and Eastern Region = 660km Ravensthorpe to Cape Arid (currently under construction). The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) intend to form a Panel of appropriately skilled and experienced Contractors in three sections, being the Northern, Southern and Eastern Regions. To support the Contract Authority, a framework of four separate works categories are required as stipulated below: General Maintenance and Repairs including Light Herbicide Application; Fence Replacement; Grading; and Herbicide Supply and Application. | Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development | $3,500,000 |
