| WA-SMHS202514815 | A section of ceiling in Fremantle Hospital’s service tunnel, between O-block and Q-block, requires removal and reinstatement. This RFQ is seeking a price for all works associated, inclusive of building and plumbing works. Scope of works inclusions: Rectification of tunnel ceiling in accordance with the recommendations of the Structural Engineer (Attachment 1) including the lowering of services in the service tunnel ensuring little to no impact on site operations Installation of a concrete culvert for steam condensate pipework in accordance with the recommendations of the Structural Engineer (Attachment 2) Removal and reinstatement (redirection) of steam condensate and stormwater pipework to enable access to the tunnel ceiling from above Provision and installation of a trafficable pit cover for the steam blowdown pit. Scope of works exclusions: Reinstatement of bitumen Removal and reinstatement of earthing cable from above the tunnel (to be provided by the hospital’s electrical contractor) – these works will need to be accommodated by the building contractor. Please note the successful contractor will be required commence this works package within 14 days of the contract award and liaise with the Structural Engineer who has already been engaged as part of this project. Please provide an indicative program of works as part of your submission to this RFQ. Please also note that a small amount of Abestos Fines (fibre cement and loose bundles) has been detected in the soil within the construction zone. Levels detected were less than the adopted guildeline and have therefore been deemed low-medium risk, meaning works can progress under safe management protocols. Fremantle Hospital have engaged a specialist consultant to develop an Asbestos Management Plan and work with the successful contractor to understand proposed works methodology, SWMS and ensure safe controls are in place. The successful contractor will be required to adhere to relevant Occupation Safety and Health regulations, including but not limited to traffic management (if required).
