Contract History
| WA-TWDV04252023 | The State Training Board (STB), under section 21(1) (b) of the Vocational Education and Training Act 1996 (VET Act) recognises industry training advisory bodies (known as Industry Training Councils or ITCs), from which it takes advice on the training and workforce development needs of Western Australian industries. These services support the STB to form a State Training Plan and make recommendations to the Minister for Training and Workforce Development on matters relating to Part 7 of the VET Act. The services also support the Department of Training and Workforce Development (the Department or Principal) to lead agile workforce strategies that enable all Western Australians to participate in a highly skilled and diversified economy. As an ITC, the Service Provider will provide high level strategic information and intelligence to the STB and the Department on the workforce development and vocational education and training needs and priorities of industries in Western Australia, following extensive, targeted consultation with stakeholders within those industries. In its capacity as an ITC, the Service Provider will take a leadership role within their industry sectors in this respect, and ensure that their activities, products and services align with the priorities set by the Minister, the STB and the Department. The Department and the STB, in consultation with the Minister, have elected to align the industry sectors across the ITC network as closely as possible with those of the Commonwealth Jobs and Skills Councils (JSCs) for ITC service delivery for 2024-2029. | Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) | $18,129,866 |
